Custom Woolen Mills
Custom Woolen Mills is a family owned and operated woolen mill located near Carstairs, Alberta. The woolen mill has been a multi generational family enterprise for over 35 years. They offer a wide selection of products; carded wools, yarns, bedding, socks, hand-woven blankets, hand-knit garments and kits, and felted items. All products are sourced from farmers in Western Canada, and then every step of processing is done in house. Custom Woolen Mills offer’s mill tours at their farm and ensures that their product is top quality.
PaSu Sheep Farm
Pasu Sheep Farm has been in operation since 1977. When Patrick and Susan moved from South Africa to Canada to give their kids a healthy lifestyle, they began raising sheep. When visiting the farm guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the Rockies while shopping through the gift shop or dining in the restaurant.
Happiness by The Acres
Happiness By The Acre is a small urban farm that was started 5 years ago, with 153 acres of chemical free produced vegetables and flowers. There is a fine selection of local craft goods, fresh eggs, and fresh seasonal vegetables at their trust based farm store all year round. Happiness by the Acre is committed to bringing fresh, local and healthy food to all of their customers.
HGB Bison Ranch
HGB Bison was established in 1986 and is currently owned and operated by George and Heather Briggs. With there meat shop being located on their ranch, there are over 55 various cuts of fresh and frozen all natural, grass fed bison. HGB Bison works to ensure that there heard of 130 cows and calves are taken care of and every customer is happy when leaving the ranch.

The Honest Box
The Aarsby’s have been farming in Carstairs for five generations. Recently they have developed a deep passion for sharing food with friends and family. They are always educating themselves and anyone interested in the best practices for growing food without pesticides. Out at the Honest Box they focus on outdoor farming as well as pasture raising of chickens, turkeys and more. They are working hard to make farming a more productive and less impactful practice. During the summer, the Honest Box has a shop on the farm that sells there fresh food, as well as fresh BC fruit.
Shirley’s Greenhouse is a 36,000 square foot greenhouse located east of Didsbury, Alberta. With 12 acres of field vegetables Shirley’s Greenhouse works hard to ensure that they are growing top quality vegetables without the use of synthetic pesticides. At Shirley’s Greenhouse they grow two different types of cucumbers, eight types of tomatoes, hot peppers, bell peppers, butter lettuce, and kale.
The Jungle Farm
The Jungle Farm has been a multigeneration enterprise since the late 1800’s. The farm was named after a brown bear that lived in the farms area. With greenhouses, U-Pick strawberries, U-Pick pumpkins, grain and many activities there is always something to do out at The Jungle Farm. The Staples welcome you to their farm for an experience you will not forget!
Season & Supply
Season and Supply was created to host a long table dinner in each season of the year. They celebrate was local Alberta agriculture has to offer. Everything on their menu has been handcrafted in Alberta. They aim to connect people with farms/farmers with an amazing dining experience right at the farm.
Bowden Sunmaze & Eagle Creek Farms
Bowden Sunmaze is one of the few sunflower mazes in Canada. Alongside the acres of sunflowers, the farm also gros 3 acres of U-Pick flowers and vegetables, a farm store full of organic veggies and preserves from local farms and a corn maze. Mid-August to Mid-September is when the flowers are in full bloom.
